How does your photography work?

I offer a photography service custom built to your requests. If you just want a photo and you trust my vision then I can deliver that. If you have a really specific request, let’s work together and make that work. I am happy to work on one day projects up to multiple year long projects, I can shoot at any time of day that paints your space in the most beautiful light possible. The perk of being self employed providing this service is I can be flexible and customise anything to your needs, and at the end you will receive beautiful images that bring the vision to life.

Does a garden or house need to be famous to be photographed?

Absolutely not. Some of the most important spaces are the most personal. If a space is important to you, it needs to be documented and shown off in the best light. From multiple hectare spanning and award winning estates to a private garden in the middle of a remote village, every space deserves to be photographed and if you have one of these spaces I look forward to photographing it for you.

Do you also do portraits?

With pleasure, I love taking portraits of people, you can see a small selection on my portfolio of portraits where people have agreed to have them as portfolio images. A lot of the portraits I have taken with clients are on the walls of their home or in frames in significant places, which makes me extremely proud. How much are your services and why aren’t your prices on your website?

As each photography session is so different it’s impossible to have a one price fits all solution and there is no point paying extra for things you don’t need, so if you use the contact form or the email address provided and let me know about your needs, I will price things accordingly and clearly communicate this prior to both sides agreeing to the session.

What is your deposit and cancellation policy?

No deposit is required as each shoot will come with a price given to you after the initial discussion process and an invoice, which has to be paid prior to our shoot. There will be no additional charges for the quoted shoot outside of this price. Pricing, including phased paying and deposits can be discussed further during this phase if required.

Can I post the photos to social media or share them or print them or use them?

You can do all of those things, they are yours to do whatever you want with. No restrictions. I only ask that where you can you credit the photographer, either written or a tag on social media, and when you get a good response for the photos you recommend the service.,

Will my photograph appear in your portfolio or as a sample photo?

Not unless you agree to it being used in post shoot discussions. I know a lot of my clients book photos for personal use or to document their private spaces and won’t want them shared beyond the confidential relationship between them and I, which I hold very seriously. If I take a photo that I want to use in my portfolio, I will reach out to you after the shoot to get your written agreement, and if you decline that is absolutely fine.

Do you edit photos and can I get the RAW files?

Personally, I prefer to create the ideal photos at the session and do minimal editing in post. I’m here to celebrate natural beauty and real life, so unfortunately I am not the photography to be heavily editing photos to change the true appearance of a space, but I will send you a download link to the photos we’ve taken with the shots that work in JPEG and TIFF format with my vision of the photos and will also include the RAWs so you can edit them at a later date if you so wish.

Will you photograph my wedding?

Due to the nature of how I shoot, taking the time and composing shots, getting to know you and making it personal for you, I don’t think I am the best photographer for weddings. There are fantastic photographers and photography teams who can shoot high speed weddings and deliver fantastic results, who I am happy to point you in the direction of, unfortunately I am not that photographer.

How far will you travel?

I’m based in Somerset but am happy to travel for a photo session, if the shoot is outside of the local area this may incur an extra charge for travel but this will clearly be discussed within your quote. Previously I have shot across the UK and outside the UK, from mountains to dungeons. Anything to get the perfect shot.

I have a really strange photo request, can I contact you to discuss it?

Please do. You would be surprised at the variety and extremity of the requests I receive, they may not appear on my portfolio but I will happily discuss any requests and let you know if I am the photographer to fulfil them or not.

Do you use AI?

Proudly not. And never will.
